WHY I BUILT THISI know the silent war personally.For most of my career — through a PhD and practice in organisational psychology, innovation research at CSIRO, future cities at Arup, and the frontier of AI — I carried the same question that brings founders and business leaders to this practice:How do we build futures worth living in, without losing ourselves in the process?That question led me through research, through corporate strategy, through a global consultancy, and eventually to founding Flow Futures.What I've learned is this: the war between purpose and profit is not inevitable. It's a design problem. And like all design problems, it has solutions — if you're willing to work at the level where the real tension lives.That level is not the business model.
It's not the marketing strategy.
It's not even the team.It's the founder or the person with carriage of the vision.When that person is clear — genuinely clear, not just strategically clear — everything else becomes more workable.
